Birds of a Feather
Hello! I'm Spoorthi.
I was born in Mysore, a small and quiet city South India, and now I live in Cincinnati – which just so happens to be the sister city of Mysore. I believe it was meant to be!
Professionally, I’ve interned at an architecture firm and interior design studio in Sri Lanka, and most recently, at a lifestyle magazine in the Hamptons.
I received my Masters of Science in Architecture with a focus in History, Theory, and Criticism before becoming a journalist. Why did I choose the path of researching and writing about architecture? It’s simple really: to be a storyteller of the “built world” both past and present.
I’m fluent in English and Kannada (a language local to my state in India). I also speak Hindi.
What I Live For
Travel. The world is too gorgeous to remain unexplored.
I have a collection of over 200 Barbie and porcelain dolls and plush toys. It’s a “mini museum" I’ve been building since childhood that I’ll never give away!
