Brilliant designs call for brilliant execution... am I right?

When you're a designer with big dreams, you need workshops you can count on to help make them come true. And The Interior’s House - crafters of bespoke Italian furniture and specialists in upholstery, lighting, and carpentry (or "joinery" as they call it in London where the studio is based) - might very well be your new best friend.

co-founders Benedetta Dall’Olio and Matteo Carrara

Co-founded in 2015 by Benedetta Dall’Olio and Matteo Carrara, The Interior’s House has delivered hundreds of successful high-end projects. They've worked with ultra-luxurious brands like Dedar and Hermès (among others of that caliber), are well-connected with the top factories in Italy and... wait for it... can pull off a turnaround from conception to delivery in record time.

The leader in hand-created wallpapers, de Gournay entrusted the furnishing of its Shanghai showroom to The Interior’s House. A plush curved sofa in deep moss green and a streamlined wood console and marble cocktail table - both in varying coffee tones - offset de Gournay's "Namban," a burnished gold pattern upon which a majestic flock of cranes takes flight.

Let's break it down a little further, shall we?

The Interior's House's Italian upholsterers are fourth-generation masters of their craft. There's a dedicated "marble team" and access to hundreds of quarries, allowing them to create bespoke, one-off pieces. TIH can readily source solid timber, petrified wood, and everything that grows in-between. Their metalwork - be it iron, gold, or otherwise - is second to none. And even the most complex lighting installation is a done deal; in fact, The Interior's House welcomes being put to task. "We thrive on interaction with the client, overcoming challenges and combining creative energies to execute incredible outcomes," says Dall'Olio.

TIH also derives great pleasure from building lasting relationships. “It’s our privilege to help create some of the world’s most beautiful spaces, with clients who have become good friends over many years," remarks Carrara.

Most recently, The Interior’s House collaborated with prominent Italian interior architect Celia Stefania Centonze at FuoriSalone 2021.

For this event, a cornerstone of Milan Design Week, Centonze worked alongside The Interior's House to create her INSIDE capsule collection, consisting of the Sagitta storage unit; the Solis table; and the Signum console. All three pieces feature an interplay of gold leaf and glossy white veneered wood, and geometric inserts of mirrored steel made by the noted contemporary visual artist Marco Nereo Rotelli (with whom Centonze collaborates regularly). The exhibition also featured works of art by Rotelli himself.

The exceptional work produced by The Interior's House speaks volumes when it comes to luxury, but as Dall'Olio states: "The real luxury is the craftmanship, a product made by hand, based on your needs."
